After becoming quadriplegic from the accident, she was inspired by her mother to create a foundation called Soul Free where she motivates people with spinal injuries.

Preethi Shrinivasan is the co-founder and president of Soul free. The foundation advocates for the rehabilitation, rehabilitation, and reintegration of those with legal spine cord injuries. Soul free launched on 07/09/2013.
Soul Free is a public charitable trust that raises awareness about spinal chord injuries and how to prevent them.
Soul free’s ultimate goal to create a long term facility to permanently care for the severely disabled and train them for productive employment is their ultimate goal. They established databases to enable people with spinal cord injuries to be in touch with others who are experiencing the same problems. This allows them all to share their ideas and solutions with one another, as well as having a community support system.
